One of the most prevalent buzz-words online recently has to be Search Engine Optimisation, or SEO.

This is the act of redesigning some aspects of a web site in an attempt to get a higher rating on the search engine, meaning more customers are brought to your website.

Good SEO is a by-product of good design and development. An accessible site is generally also an optimised site (remember search engines can't see images, and rely on useful text for links much like anyone using a screen-reader)
